Entertain and Enjoy the Flavors of Fall – 6 Recipes with ALDI (and contest!)

By Rebecca Scritchfield 17 Comments

TwitterFacebookPinterestLinkedinEmail

Let’s get festive and celebrate the flavors and fun of fall with the help of my partner ALDI.  I love entertaining in the fall and when I shop at ALDI for these special moments with family and friends, I feel good. Especially because it doesn’t carve a big chunk out of my budget.

Here are 6 delicious recipes you can make with ALDI products this holiday season.

Enter to Win

Leave a comment below with WHY I LOVE TO SHOP ALDI and you’ll be entered to win a contest. Up for grabs is a $50 ALDI gift card and signed copy of Body Kindness!

The winner will be drawn and notified over e-mail on November 15, 2017. (U.S. residents only.) Please allow up to two weeks for delivery. I’ll do my best to get it out to you to enjoy before the Thanksgiving holiday.

1. Bacon Brussel Sprouts Skewers

I love serving “finger foods” that incorporate fall seasonal produce. This easy and yummy Brussel Sprout Skewer appetizer calls for 5 things: Brussel sprouts, bacon, olive oil, salt & pepper. It’s simple and unforgettable.

2. Sweet Potato & Broccoli Salad with Chopped Apples

Up next is this Sweet Potato and Broccoli Salad with Chopped Apples side dish that delivers a burst of flavors. All of the colorful produce of sweet potatoes, broccoli, and apples are made affordable with ALDI prices. At ALDI, you aren’t paying for the bells and whistles, no hidden costs mean you’re only paying for quality and freshness.

3. Slow Cooker Spicy Spinach Artichoke Dip

When entertaining guest my slow cooker is my best friend. I can make this Spinach Artichoke Dip ahead of time and keep it warm and fresh. I pair this with a fresh crudité, chips, or crackers. At ALDI, I can find gluten free chips and crackers like these liveGfree Multiseed Crackers for my friends with gluten free needs. You can find a variety of gluten free options at ALDI, just look for the liveGfree label on their products.

4. Creamy Pumpkin Soup with Chili Cran-Apple Relish

Pumpkin anything will go over well in the holiday season. I love this Creamy Pumpkin Soup with Cran-Apple Relish from ALDI because you can make it ahead of time and serve this at a sit down party. Serve this in a bowl, mug or shooter to warm your guests up in the changing weather.

5. Extreme Pumpkin Cupcakes

And of course, no holiday party is complete without a pumpkin treat. I make and eat these Extreme Pumpkin Cupcakes with my kids, which is also a meaningful part of the season.

6. Wines

While this may not be a recipe, its perfect to bring to a holiday party or event ALDI carries a wide selection of wines from reds to white and even sparkling wines.

Contest

Celebrate the fall season with these recipes and more at ALDI. Leave a comment below about which recipe or product you would like to try this season.

One winner will be drawn from the blog comments section in this post at noon ET November 15th and notified by e-mail. Once you provide a valid, U.S. mailing address, please allow 7-14 days for the Body Kindness book and $50 ALDI gift card to arrive.

WHY I LOVE TO SHOP ALDI- they have amazing gluten-free pasta that my belly adores. And my wallet adores them too. I’m gonna be all over those Extreme Pumpkin Muffins! <3

    Why do I love Aldi?
Aldi has everything I need-at a fraction of the cost of “supermarkets”.
It doesn’t take me hours to do my shopping-in, out, done.
Their employees are friendly, helpful and fast at check-out.
    LOVE IT!

I’m excited to try the Brussel sprout skewers and the sweet potato salad. I think both will be a yummy addition to our celebration of thanksgiving. I shop at Aldi because of the large selection of produce and the availability of healthy alternatives. I’m always impressed by the helpfulness of the staff and the low cost of their products.

I love shopping at Aldi’s because the produce is so affordable! I don’t have to sell a kidney to be able to afford organic fruits and veggies! Plus I love how Aldi’s has banned any of it’s suppliers from using certain insectides so that they won’t be contributing to the decline of the bee population. I am an avid Aldi’s shopper and I could go on and on about why I love them but mainly it’s their produce, prices, and quality of food that I love.

ALDI is great for both staples and unique finds, all of which are always reasonably priced — win, win, win. I’d love to try some of their beer and wine offerings, but never seem to leave the store with any in my bag. Time to change that!

I love to shop at Aldi because I can get in and out in under 30 minutes with a week’s worth of groceries and four kids in tow! I really appreciate not have to sift through multiple brands of the same product, just one that tastes great is all it takes!

I’m definitely trying the brussel sprout recipe and a bottle of the Chardonnay might make it in my cart this week!

We love ALDI because of the great prices and products! Their produce and meat selection is always top notch. We also love that they’ve made commitment to communities that do not have access to much fresh food.

I love to shop Aldi because I can go in with half a list or no list at all, pick up impulse buys, and still only spend about $50.
