COVID-19 Resources from National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA)

@COVID19eatingsupport – Free HAES meal support FREE on Instagram. (they aim to go LIVE every hour… these are my people)

@comamosjuntxs – Meal support in Spanish, led by Raquel Lobaton and Haica Rosenfeld. For now, they’ve been providing meal support every two hours.

Other Mental Health

SAMHSA’s National Helpline – free, confidential, 24/7, 365-day-a-year treatment referral and information service (in English and Spanish) for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders.

BodyLove Project Podcast episode 62 – Jessi Hagerty is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who specializes in Healthy At Every Size. In this episode of her podcast, Jessi and guest speaker Lauren Minear (a licensed psychotherapist) promote yoga to cope with stress and anxiety in a body positive way.

Dances with Fat – Ragen Chastain was featured on Body Kindness episode 71 . She is a body positive activist, Guinness World Record athlete, and National dance champion. In her blog, she advocates for health and movement at every size.

Downdog Yoga – free until May 1st!  – Downdog Yoga provides free yoga, HIIT, and barre workouts that you can easily do from home. To help people stay active during quarantine, it’s free until May 1st (free for students and teachers until July 1st)!

Free Coloring Books! I love a good coloring book. This article has links to several free coloring books. I’ve printed off a few of them myself.

Virtual Museum Tours – Museums are currently closed. If you feel like you want to get out of the house without actually leaving your living room check out these free online museum tours.

Free crochet patterns – Make adorable animals, food, and decorations out of yarn. I’m not good at it yet but am slowly learning how to read patterns and crochet something other than a straight line.

Go the library… from home – Access your local library from home with your library card. Many libraries provide books, comics, TV shows, and movies via Overdrive.
