One choice at a time.

That’s how you create big, meaningful changes in your life. Every single day, with every fresh new choice, you’re changing. So what would you do if you treated your body with kindness? I’m pretty sure there’s one thing you wouldn’t do — follow diets (I’m looking at YOU keto, Whole 30, WW, and Intermittent Fasting.) But giving up on dieting is not giving up on self-care at all.

Enter Body Kindness and Upward Spirals.

The practice of body kindness is a practice of being good to yourself. When you make feel-good choices, your energy spirals up. You’re happier and more emotionally resilient to the normal ups and downs of your day-to-day. This resilience strengthens you even more, preparing you to handle hard things that inevitably come up. Plus when you make choices that fit you best, you get more pleasure out of life — and who doesn’t want to get as much juicy love and happiness as they can?

If this all sounds good to you, then take the next step. Get my free digital training and start treating your body with more kindness today!

What People Say

After working with Rebecca I finally formed non-diet, self-care habits AND my blood pressure and cholesterol are in the normal range. I have worked very hard to achieve my goals and am extremely proud of my accomplishment; however, I don’t think I could have gotten to this point without Rebecca’s expertise, support, and encouragement. I will always be grateful to her helping me to get my life back–I couldn’t have done it without her. Rebecca is a master at what she does and I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with her. I am thrilled to move forward in my life—healthier, stronger, and happier. Rebecca helped me to get to this place and words cannot express my appreciation to her.

I’m beginning to see signs that my relationship with food is healing. My cravings for certain foods (peanut butter and chocolate ice cream!) are gone, but still learning the day to day of, “When I can eat absolutely anything, how do I decide what to eat?”

Figuring it out! Your info is a great resource. I have much to learn yet but am committed to the process. Thanks for what you do…

By working with Rebecca, I recognized that my behavior towards food and exercise is not normal, in fact it is in that “gray area.” For years I chided myself for not having the self-control to develop a full-blown eating disorder in order to get thin enough—a thought that I now realize is diseased in it of itself. I am grateful that I visited Rebecca before my eating problems became more intense. Because of our conversations, I have committed myself to fully recover and to work on having normal health behaviors.

I’m learning to reclaim fat as a neutral descriptor, slowly but surely… I want my daughter to understand that her size is the least interesting or important thing about her, so I try to model that when possible. It takes effort to remind myself that it’s a descriptor of size and not a descriptor of worth, but I’m working on it.

The most important thing I learned from Rebecca was on day one. She looked me in the eyes and said life does not start at a size smaller. You are missing out for no good reason. It was the tipping point in my journey to real wellness. It helped break down my barriers of exercise helped me overcome emotional eating and gave me peace I desperately needed.

Breaking up with my refrigerator would mean that I would have to give an external voice to the sadness that I often felt and eventually trust other people to provide the emotional support and love that I needed.  I needed to become aware of when I was using  food as a stand-in for actual relationships. With Rebecca’s help, I practiced recognizing and honoring my physical sensations of hunger while separating out the emotional hunger.  I’m not always perfect.  There are still days when I look in the refrigerator hoping to find a winning lottery ticket, some really good cheese, or Mr. Right.  But with her guidance, I am now more able to determine an appropriate reaction to my thoughts:  if I’m lonely, I call a friend; if I’m sad, I cry; if I’m bored, I find something productive to do.  If I’m hungry, I nourish my body.

It sounds corny to say that someone changed my life. Honestly, I can say Rebecca saved me. Saved me from me. No really…..It was 3 years ago. I was feeling terrible. Drinking too much, always tired, great starts on exercises and no finishes. I had a serious emotional eating issue. Rebecca’s says “nothing changes until you do” and boy is she right. I had no idea how powerful those words would mean. I was ready to change. Rebecca changed my life and I will never be the same. I became a new person with energy, confidence, and self-love.

Rebecca always says “stop shoulding on yourself.” I have a strong inner voice that expects me to be perfect and criticizes most of the time. I learned this voice is basically my mom and even though I’m a mom myself I have not been able to shake this feeling that nothing is ever good enough. To cope, I would eat in secret. Rebecca has helped me deal with that voice and find my real voice – the one that wants me to be happy and healthy. I am doing my best to listen to that part of me.

Body kindness is saving my life. I had no period, anemia, pcos, pre-diabetes and absolute exhaustion. Embracing Body Kindness has given me the best health/bloodwork of the last 20 something years, my doctors are impressed to say the least.

I wish I had a little Rebecca with me everywhere. She is rational and non judgmental. She has taught me to think of self care, to be more compassionate toward myself – like I am toward others, and accept that I am human. I am not perfect. I am worthy of good self care exactly as I am now. I don’t need to compare myself to others. My weight does not define my health.

I am so much happier after working with Rebecca. I was looking for a nutritionist who was knowledgeable, and could provide solutions to the challenges I was facing with food. Rebecca has been fantastic!!! Rebecca helped me see the connection between stress and food choices. She got me into yoga, something I didn’t think I would like, and I was wrong. I love it and am excited to make it part of my exercise and self-care routine. I learned it’s easier to eat well when you’re less stressed. Rebecca can help you get to the bottom of your food challenges as well.
